Biography

Katlin Leslie, based in New York City, was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan (yes, it is a real place!). Her story starts like most. Girl loves acting. Girl does all the theater she can in her home town. Seriously, ALL the theater. Even working as a tech behind the scenes. Girl's ambition drives her to THE cultural melting pot, New York City. A pretty promising start for a motivated, passionate young actress. Once Katlin made the move to the big apple she attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she trained for two years with focus on film, theater, and stage combat. During her time at the Academy, she had the privilege of training with Dr. Roxana Stuart, Dan Daily, and Ray Virta, to name a few. Since Graduation, Katlin has performed in several theater festivals, including the Short Play Lab and Strike 38. Though the theater will always have a huge place in her heart, Katlin's true passion lies with on-camera work. Lifeline is her film debut. Fun Fact: Katlin's name is pronounced "Kait-lin". The day she was born her parents still hadn't decided how they were going to spell her name. To add to the stress of the situation, the nurses kept coming into their room pressuring them about the birth certificate, like they were worried her parents were going to leave the hospital without a naming her. Katlin's Mother quickly jotted her name down but was so overwhelmed and exhausted she forgot a vowel. OOPS! In her free time, Katlin has assorted creative passions, including designing home decor and building furniture. She is also a self-taught chef and makes a mean Cincinnati chili.
