Piernicola Pedicini

Piernicola Pedicini is a member of the European Parliament representing Italy. He is an outspoken advocate for the environment. A native of Foglianese in Benevento Province, he holds a degree in theoretical physics, specializing in medical physics. He researched high energy physics at Federico II University, and became an authority on maintaining and preserving artistic and architectural heritage. In 2007, he joined the Regional Oncological Hospital in Vulture, Potenza Province, as an expert in medical physics. His work centered on protecting workers and the public from radiation hazards. In 2014, he was elected as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP), running as a member for the 5 Star Movement. He is married with two children.
