Ivy Kiru

Ivy Kiru is the producer of Sungura (2021). The film has won best Extended Cinema at Malatesta Short Film Festival in Italy and Nominated Best Short Narrative at Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles. The Film has screened at Festival International du Film Panafricain de Cannes, The African Film Festival in Texas and Black Star International Film Festival among others. She has also produced the shorts, Millet (2018) and Brikicho (2019), which were both funded by Docubox (EADFF), Little Black Dress (2020) which screened at the Luxor African Film Festival and won Best Short film at the Womanhood Festival in 2020. She was part of the production team of award-winning Kenyan feature films; Supa Modo (2018), Lusala (2019), No Simple Way Home (2022), which premiered at Berlin International Film Festival 2022. She was also part of the second season of the Netflix produced show Sense 8. She is the Production Manager of the short film by Mbithi Masya, Baba (2022) and feature documentary by Sam Soko and Laura DeFilippo, Free Money (2022). Both films had their world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival 2022.
