Sylvia L. Jones

Sylvia is an award-winning journalist and native Chicagoan. She holds dual degrees in Psychology and Communications from Stanford University and a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University. Throughout her journalism career, Sylvia most enjoyed producing stories that directly related to women, children and culture. In addition to her local reporting in Chicago, Detroit and Washington, D.C., Sylvia served as the primary field producer in NYC for the coverage of the 9/11 terror attacks across all Tribune-owned stations. Sylvia's work has garnered her numerous awards including two Emmys, an Associated Press Award and an Edward R. Murrow Award.
