Mr. Shakiji Malik Abdul aka Zulu King Shakiji as named in the Universal Zulu Nation, is an American Music- Entertainment, Digital Content Media Distribution Executive, A&R Executive Director, Marketing Director, Music Producer, Radio Show host, Radio Station Owner & Producer, Radio Promoter and former Club/Radio DJ. Shakiji Graduated Cum Laude from University of Seattle (A.A) & University of California Riverside (B.A) Majoring in Business Management and Minor in Urban Branding & Marketing. Shakiji Abdul is also the Co-Founder/CEO Kulturezine Media Interactive LLC, Kulturezine Radio Network LLC, Soul Bridge Entertainment LLC. (SBE), Founder-CEO Hall of Legends Museum (California nonprofit 501c3) and currently, the Sr. Executive Director of A&R TMG/Universal Music Group. Over the course of his more than 35-year career. Shakiji has worked with such artists and Labels: including Scarface, Skeelo, Public Enemy, Geto Boys, N.W.A., Ice Cube, Lench Mob Records, Parris, Rodney O & Joe Cooley and Insane Posse. Record labels and Major Companies such as Ruthless Records, DreamWorks Records, New Line Cinema, TVT Records, Gatorade Beverages, Priority Records, Atlantic Records, Sony PlayStation, La-Face Records Universal Music Group, Fubu Clothing Co, No Limit Records, Def Jam Recordings, Tommy Boy Records, Motown Records, Island-Def Jam Recordings, Interscope, Loud Records, Epic Records, Sony Music, Warner Brothers Entertainment, RCA, and Jive Records just to name a few. In 1982, Shakiji began his music career as a street team member for several major and indie Labels, also a street DJ. Shakiji is also a Music Producer, Songwriter, and Radio Host. Shakiji was an intern and was mentored by top label executives, such as Lonnie Simmons ( CEO-Founder of Total Experience Records), Clarence Avant (CEO of Sussex, Tabu,Buddha Records) and Quincy Jones (CEO Founder Quest Records Legendary Jazz Artist and Entertainment Producer) as a young man, This enabled him to grasp the landscape of the Music- Entertainment Industry in various major label positions.
