Biography

Ramiro Carrera Diaz was born in Jerez, Zacatecas, a small town in central Mexico. He emigrated to the U.S. at the age of 6 with his parents and five older siblings. Ramiro was "bitten" by the theatre bug while in elementary school where he participated in numerous plays. It wasn't until 2011, when he decided to pursue acting professionally, that he enrolled in Sebastian Ligarde's school of acting where he was introduced to the Meisner technique. Following the completion of the two-year program with Sebastian Ligarde, he was invited to participate in his first feature film titled "Indian Express", produced, written and directed by Carlos Serran. Ramiro made his debut on stage in 2014 in the Spanish version of "Maleficent", produced by the Sociedad Actoral Hispanoamericana (SAH) and directed by Miguel Sahid and Andres Mejia. In 2017, he auditioned and landed a main role in SAH's newest production titled "Mi Mujer Es El Plomero". Currently (2019), he is pleased and excited to share a leading part in the short film titled "Dreamer", which has been the Official Selection in countless film festivals around the world as well as the Official "Short Film" Winner at the Eurasia International Film Festival.
