Mathilde Zampieri grew up in Raiatea island, French Polynesia. She's started windsurfing when she was 8 years old with her father and never stopped since then. At 16 years old, she became the youngest windsurfgirl to compete as a professional athlete on the PWA World Tour Windsurfing and enter the World TOP 20 as a woman. In 2017, she was ranked on the Junior World's podium and 17th as a woman.
Along with her windsurfing career, Mathilde started acting in 2017 as she gets to play herself in Colter Johnson's movie "Vahine I Te Moana, Girl in the Sea" In 2018, Johnson came back to Polynesia to shoot to second part of the film.
Mathilde is a "Coral Gardeners Ambassador" to help raise awareness about the environment and the reef protection. Despite of her young age, she tries to use her voice to change things. She's also a member of the LGBTQ+ community as she is currently dating a woman.
