Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Marina Petrovskaia holds an M.F.A. in Film and Media Arts from Temple University. Her first documentary short, Confession, received the Best Editing award from NextFrame International Student Film Festival, a Jury Award from NYC Exposition of Short Film and Video, and was screened in MoMA, Documentary Fortnight, and WBYE and Houston PBS, among others. Her documentary feature, The Round Trip, follows an American couple that travels to Russia in 2004 to adopt a child. Her output includes a series of documentary installations: The Long Takes, 2013; Andante on the Canal, 2013; Surveillance Underground, 2015; Habana Diaries, 2016. She is the Director, Producer, and Owner of Cinewindow Productions.
