James Smart is an established singer/ songwriter and stage hypnotist, best known for his tribute to Queen front man Freddie Mercury and for his hilarious and unique singing Hypnotist show. He is also a seasoned tour entertainer, performing his own songs, traditional Scottish music and classic pop hits through the decades to audiences from overseas and Europe.
In February 2017, James joined forces with 4 of his singing friends to form a brand new vocal harmony group called 'ScotSoul' and take part in BBC1's fantastic new show 'Pitch Battle'. The group secured 3rd place in the LIVE final broadcast on BBC1 in July 2017.
James also featured on a British Academy award nominated documentary for BBC Scotland called "Viva Variety" and performed his debut song "Home Is Where The Heart Is" on BBC Newsnight back in 2014.
