Hakim Chenault was born in Brooklyn, NY, June 28th, 1988. Raised in Brooklyn but moved to Harlem at age 10 and his loving for writing began. He was given the opportunity at 12 to be the stage manager for the play 'After All These Years" at the famous Thalia Theatre. He attended boarding school in Asheville, North Carolina and worked with the school on their first production "A Day in the Life: Of An Asheville Student". Hakim attended Howard University and pursued his MFA at LIU Brooklyn. He wrote and directed his first short film in Atlanta, GA in 2013, entitled "The Wrong Crowd".
