Sinclair was employed at Noss Farm, Wick, Caithness where he enjoyed working with the horses and would often ride a horse home after work. He lived at Louisburgh Street and then 5 Henrietta Street, Wick with his grandmother. He came from a typically large family of which his brother, Easta (known by this name because he could not say "Easter" as a child) was a well known boxer in those days. He had a gentle voice in the 1950s he bought a record player on which he used to play the Eddie Calvert version of "Oh Mine Papa" which his granny also enjoyed. Sadly Sinclair was killed in a road accident when he was in his mid-late 20s. It was in the winter and there had been heavy snow so one of his friends went on a motorbike to collect Sinclair from work. On the way back the incident occurred at Wick airport just where there a school dining room at the time. It was Sinclair's first time on a motorbike.
