Attended Legacy H.S. in Mansfield, Texas, where he earned first-team All-District 5-5A honors as a senior captain. Caught 40 passes for 604 yards and was selected Legacy's Most Valuable Player as a senior. Also earned academic all-district honors as a senior. Rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com. Was a three-year letterman in both football and basketball. Son of Tracy Syler-Jones and Michael Jones. Mother ran track at American River College. Has one older brother, Jeremiah, and two sisters, Iman and Ebony. Born Dec. 3, 1992.
