Ijaz moved to the UK from Pakistan at the age of 8. Learning English quickly, he started attending acting classes with TV Workshop Salford under the guidance of Rachel Brogan. He secured his first role on UK soap Hollyoaks at the age of 16. He is mentored and represented by Darren R L Gordon
