Alexander Spiess

Alexander Spiess is a producer, director and editor with experience across documentary, and narrative feature film. He is best known for producing the critically acclaimed documentary feature Higher Love which won the grand jury award during its world premiere at Slamdance Film Festival 2020. His work as an associate producer for Nick Quested and Sebastian Junger's latest films; Blood on the Wall, and Hell On Earth: The Fall of Syria and Rise of ISIS, premiered at AFI Docs and Tribeca Film Festival, for National Geographic. Alexander Spiess studied Journalism at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is affiliated with the Society of Professional Journalists, and is a guest lecturer on film editing at Montclair State University.
