Biography

Jérémy Davidian is also known as "Jeremy From AlexEtJeremy" for his live video work/performance as a narrative VJ. in 1996, he met Alex and decided to work together. After a couple of successful video installations in Paris, they moved to Amsterdam, in 1998. They continued creating their video visions turning more and more to Vjing as a new way of showing their work. The two combine aspects of pop culture which have influenced them whilst growing up, developing from this their own artistic expression and sensibility. In 2002, AlexEtJeremy VJs is created. They did produce highly stylized videos using different FX techniques, such as blue screen, homemade effects, creating their own decors, costumes and make-up. Their videos are unique, colourful and narrative. The imaginary world of AlexEtJeremy VJs is a visual wonderland built up from segments of New Wave, Glam Rock, Silent Films, popular Kitsch and 50s, etc... As video artists, AlexEtJeremy VJs have performed in places including the Film Huis of Den Haag, during the Onedotzero Festival, in Residents VJs in different clubs in Amsterdam and Brussels, they played in: Odeon, SugarFactory, Club11, Paradiso, Melkweg, Hotel Arena, SupperClub, OCCII, RAI, Le Fuse, etc... They do participate regularly to some AV/VJ Festivals around the world: Robodock - NL Cinetrip AV - HU AVIT C23 - GER AVSocial - UK International Videofestival Bochum - GER Mal aux Pixel Festival - FR AV Flux - FR VisualSensation - NL Roze FilmFestival - NL Teek Film Festival - N etc... They have been invited to show their live video work in: Paris - FR London - UK Berlin - GER Leipzig - GER St. Petersburg - RU Riga - LA Budapest - HU Brussels - BE Amsterdam - NL etc... They played live at the summer festival The Big Chill Festival(UK): in 2007 with Chungking in 2005 with OneSelf in 2004 with Roger Eno In 2007, they have been invited to show their video work during the OneDotZero Festival at the Film Huis of Den Haag In 2006, they have been invited to do some video installations and to show their video work in Ekko (VJLaunch AlexEtJeremy) Voted World 10th Top 20 VJs 2006 by DJmag (UK) Voted World 17th Top 20 VJs 2005 by DJmag (UK) 1st Winner of the VJs Battle Inframe in Berlin. (2005) In 2009, They separated. In 2010, Jeremy did follow his video career under the name: "Jeremy From AlexEtJeremy" Since 2010 Jeremy is VJ resident in multiple clubs, events in Europe.
