Even though my personality may say otherwise, I've never wanted to be in front of the camera. Instead, I've always had the desire to be the one behind it. The desire to be a storyteller, to be the reason behind a person's need to escape from the world, if only for a few hours. We live in a world where now, more than ever, cultural and creative diversity is not only being accepted, it's becoming the norm. I want to be a part of this community, to be able to bring people together because of their love for film and television. As a proud African American female and U.S. Navy Veteran, I believe my life experiences can help me give a voice to not only those like myself, but to others as well.
