Biography

Sonia Wargacka is a Polish up-and-coming international film producer, production coordinator and a videographer based in Bristol, UK. Her film career started in London whilst working as a live-in personal assistant for BAFTA-winning producer and director Leslee Udwin. She then pursued studies in film production at Screenology Film School in Bristol, where she also worked as Assistant Producer. A highlight of her time with Screenology was the participation in "The Day That Broke", an ambitious feature film project shot from script to screen in 100 days with no budget. Sonia has filmed, produced and crewed numerous short films in and out of Bristol, including producing one of the most famous Star Wars fan films as well as assistant directing on YouTube's viral "This is what depression feels like". She is most known for her documentary filmmaking, including but not limited to extraordinary viral story of two boys living in Scotland ("Ollie and Harry's list of 500 adventures), the journey of Bristol Quidditch team on their way to the European Quidditch Cup in Italy captured in "Brizzlepuffs" (fragments of which have been shared by Sky TV channel), dating biopic "Little Miss T!under", and a moving documentary "I'm Still Luke" about Luke Whetstone, a cancer patient. "I'm Still Luke" was nominated for Royal Television Society Student Awards, and gained popularity through Macmillan Cancer Support. Frequent festival participant, she has worked as a live YouTube presenter for Kreciola in Poland during Pol'and'Rock Festival in 2019. She is a founder of DoesItFeelGood, a global social impact video production company. In its first year of activity, DIFG has produced videos for organizations with significant social impact in over 8 countries on 4 continents.
