The Minitones were a musical comedy double act comprised of Jack Purvis and Kenny Baker. Purvis played trumpet, while Baker played harmonica and vibraphone. Although largely a club act, they made occasional television appearances, most notably in episodes of The Little and Large Show (1978).
Kenny Baker had spoken to journalist James Innes-Smith about the group in 2006, an interview that was revisited in The Guardian (19th August 2016) upon Baker's death: "Jack and I were the only musical dwarf act in the business, so we always attracted good audiences. People of all heights came to see us. We went down a storm."
