Reina Collins

Biography

When Reina Collins isn't singing, performing in a band, or on-stage as a soloist, she has been known to appear in front of the camera. Reina co-starred with her band mates of Multi-Color House, appearing in their first four concept music videos, and the concert feature; "Multi-Color House and Friends - Live at the American Stage Company" (1987). That same year, Reina had a supporting role in the Rock Opera "B Movie". Her on screen presence has been described by her frequent music-video director, Jonathan Morrill, as "Naturally illuminated from within, and liken to a young hybrid of Cher and Debra Winger." Lisa Lepine, Promotion Queen, Portland, Oregon, wrote of Reina's voice: "Reina Collins brings a lifetime of living and loving to her big voiced, big-hearted performance. Whether fronting a down home ensemble or strutting it up with her big rock act, Collins evokes comparisons to a charismatic chorus of brethren. From the edgy humanity of Patti Smith to the cool western suave of Chris Isaak to the introspective songwriting of Carole King, Collins' talent is deep and broad enough to recall all of these, while laying claim to a sound that is uniquely her own."
