Gercek Dorman

Gercek was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. He started playing drums and percussion in 1996. He had his first education on Rock, Funk and Jazz Drum and second education on Electronic Music Production in Berklee College of Music. He became a professional educator in 2005. Gercek composes music for movies and games and have been performing in many drum/percussion and electronic music shows worldwide. He is the author of the drum method book called 'D52 Drumming Fundamentals in 52 weeks' which presents a methodical, 52-week practice schedule. Being a pioneer, he conducts the first and only drum and percussion festival in Turkey, D52 Drum and Percussion Festival. He is also the official endorser of Roland, Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals and DG Cajons.
