Lula Ali Ismaïl

Lula Ali Ismail is an actress and director, born in Djibouti to a Djibouto-Somali family in 1978. Her family moved to Montreal, Canada in 1992. Lula is the first woman filmmaker of Djibouti and tells stories of ordinary Djibouto people and their lives. Her credits include Laan (2011) and Dhalinyaro (2018).
