Biography

Josh Robin is a New York-based journalist for Spectrum News. He anchors SN+, Spectrum's national all-news channel, and serves as the network's chief national political reporter, frequently contributing to local Spectrum News stations around the nation. Robin has covered national and New York elections for decades, interviewing Pres. Donald Trump and asking questions of numerous presidents and presidential candidates. He has reported from political conventions since 2000 and in 2018, he broke a major international news story when he exposed that the first Trump administration had separated children from their parents at the southern border, bringing young girls unaccompanied to New York in the middle of the night. Footage ran for hours on network television. Trump ended the separation program later that day. Robin began his television career with NY1, Spectrum's beloved all-news channel in New York City, where he covered New York politics, including countless resignations and scandals. He has interviewed every New York mayor since Ed Koch and every governor since Mario Cuomo. He has received numerous awards including several Emmys, and prizes from the Society of Professional Journalists, the New York Press Club, the Associated Press and the Religion News Association. Robin began his career as a newspaper reporter, and his work has appeared in Newsday, The Seattle Times, The New York Times, Politico, The New York Daily News, The Daily Beast, BuzzFeed and The Nairobi Law Monthly. He is married to the journalist Manoush Zomorodi.
