Biography

Tyrone J. Dangerfield is a writer and producer, known for The Broken Rose (2018), Mikey(2014) and Question Bridge: Black Males A native of Oakland, California, Tyrone was influenced by seeing both sides of the law, his Grandfather was a historic police figure and his Father was addicted to crack and was murdered in a drug deal gone bad. Tyrone's curiosity and fascination with both contrasting lifestyles are seen in fascinating his book, A Dangerfield Manifesto. After spending years as a ghostwriter and ghost producer in the music industry, Tyrone moved into film, appearing with Grey's Anatomy's Jesse Williams and Empire's Malik Yoba in the film Question Bridge: Black Males, which has been featured in the Smithsonian Museums National Museum of African American History and Culture. Building on this success, Tyrone produced the 2014 Best Inspirational Documentary Short winning Mikey. Guided by this win, Tyrone and his business partner of 15 years William Uschold created ' The Oakland Film Company with the goal of creating content and showcasing stories from the San Francisco Bay Area. The first project, a feature film about human trafficking titled "The Broken Rose" created a buzz winning Best Picture from both the Snowdance Festival and The Sacramento International Film Festival.
