The Belgian-Chilean Andrés Lübbert has a Master in Audiovisual Arts from the Royal Arts School in Brussels. His documentaries have participated in more then 170 International Film Festivals in 20 countries, and won 28 prizes. Andrés tells stories about his intercultural environment about migration, identity, Human Rights and social issues. He has made several documentaries about the Chilean post-memory. In 2009 his short documentary "The Reality" was nominated for the Golden Key at the Kassel Documentary Film Festival in Germany. In 2013 he was a laureate for the Vocatio Award for his vocation on making social documentaries. Jury member Stijn Coninx commented: "Andres is an incredibly enthusiastic young filmmaker, his passion is fascinating, his social commitment is admirable." In 2014 Andrés made a fiction short film called "Fistful of Memories" for the district of Hoboken (Antwerp) about 50 years of Turkish and Moroccan migration in this city. In 2016 he made the documentary "Dying for Life" about a Syrian refugee who dreams of making a theater play. A short version was shown on Belgian TelevisIon Canvas. In March 2017 Andrés released his first feature documentary "El color del camaleón", produced by Off World, in co-production with Belgian television Canvas and RTBF. The film was broadcasted on Al-Jazeera Witness and had a theatrical release in Belgium and Chile. Already selected for 35 festivals and winner of 9 awards. The film won the award for Best Chilean Documentary of 2017 by the Chilean Arts Critics.
