Julissa Murrell

Julissa Kay Murrell was born in Dallas, Texas, USA. In a small city, just north of Dallas, is where she was raised by her mother, Nancy Perez, and step-father, Augustine Perez. She has two dogs that she loves dearly and an older brother whom she spends a lot of time with. Growing up, Julissa knew she had a passion for theater and wanted to one day pursue a career in acting. While in middle school, she was apart of numerous shows and even landed the lead role in her high school play, "Still Life With Iris" By Steven Dietz. She won a few awards such as Best Actress, Entertainer of the Year, Excellence Award, and best Supporting Actress while in theater. In 2012, Julissa was recruited at Stonebriar Mall by a modeling agency called The Model Shop. This was the start of Julissa's modeling career. She began to search for castings and auditions. After two years of being signed on with them she decided to leave the agency. In 2015, Julissa signed on with Model & Talent Management through John Casablancas Talent and Career Center, after completing a 20 week modeling and acting course. As of 2017, she is not signed with any modeling agency because she wants to focus on a different career and college. While in high school, Julissa quite theater and joined the Sports Medicine program where she became a student athletic trainer. She was a trainer for football and track. This is where her love for track and medicine began. Apart from theater, she also really enjoys music and has attended many concerts to see artist such as Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, One Direction, etc. She also has other interest such as writing and plans on publishing her own book in the near future. Julissa will be attending Oklahoma State University (2017) and majoring in psychology. Becoming an actress wasn't a realistic goal to her so she does plan on entering the medical field where she can do what she loves, which is helping others.
