Niles Hawkins

I am a young African American man who grew up in the Bay Area. I grew up watching a lot of movies and TV shows but I never thought about actually becoming a filmmaker. I actually wanted to become a music producer. Music is what brought me to to filmmaking. I wanted to tell stories, I wanted to make art. However, I didn't have the passion or dedication to work towards becoming a music producer. I guess I just liked the idea of it. But I did like movies and I have always thought about making scripts. and films .Therefore, that is what I started to do. I went to Pacific Union College and majored in Film & Television production. That is when I first started to write scripts and make movies. My goal is to become a successful screenwriter in Hollywood. I wanna be able to tell real, authentic stories. I want them to be thought-provoking and fun.
