Salma Amer

Born and raised in Alexandria Egypt, director Salma Amer developed a passion for films at a very young age. She graduated from a Scottish school in Alexandria and is fluent in English, Arabic, and a novice in French. Afterwards, she studied Media Management for a couple of years in Egypt with an emphasis on radio. Arriving in the U.S with her family shortly after that, Salma obtained an Associate Degree in Accounting from Kingsborough college in New York and then a BFA in Filmmaking in Los Angeles from the New York Film Academy. During the process of studying filmmaking she began her career working on documentaries and feature films.
