Susan Perry

Susan was born at the Mile End hospital at the end of the Second World War. Her father had grown up during the Great Depression, his mother was of Jewish descent, and there is North African lineage. Susan's father was a Royal Marine Commando during World War II and served as a gunner on the close protection vessel HMS Kent on the Arctic convoys to Leningrad and Russia, the theatre with the highest causality rate in the war. She worked as an engineering technician at the Klingers company. It was believed she was the first member of her family to join the Christian Spiritualist Church. However letters discovered a few years ago showed that her mother's family had contacts with the Spiritualist Church and Wicca for more than 150 years, back when Wicca was illegal under the Witchcraft Act.
