Claiborne Tomlinson was born on October 15, 1993 in Richmond, Virginia. At the age of 2, Claiborne's parents moved them to Raleigh, North Carolina, before making a more permanent move to Greensboro, North Carolina. Claiborne grew up playing sports and roughing it in the yard with her younger brothers. Her love for acting began at the age of 12, when a friend of hers invited her to audition for a local community theatre show. After that, Claiborne became heavily involved in the local theatre community and performed in shows, such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Jungle Book, and The Wizard of Oz. At the age of 14, Claiborne auditioned and gained a coveted spot at the Performing Arts High School in town, Weaver Academy. It was there that her passion and love for acting continued to grow. By her senior year of high school, Claiborne and her family moved to Houston, Texas, where she went on to perform in the All School Musical and also sang and competed in the Tommy Tune awards. After graduating High School, Claiborne gained a Scholarship to study on the BFA Acting program at Santa Fe University of Art and Design, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. While at Santa Fe, Claiborne had the opportunity to study under the direction of Jon Jory. Although, Santa Fe was a great school, Claiborne felt like it wasn't quite the right fit and went on to gain a spot at Sir Paul McCartney's performing arts conservatory, The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, in Liverpool, England, UK. It was there that she cultivated her craft and grew the most as an artist. After living in Liverpool for three years, she has since moved back to the States in the fall of 2016 and is happy to call New York City her new home.
