Carol Benjamin

"I owe you a letter about Brazil" is Carol's debut as a director. As producer and screenwriter, she already released three feature documentaries, among them Leandra Leal's "Divine Divas", the highest-grossing documentary in 2017 in Brazil, that circulated among festivals and won many awards, such as the 2017 SXSW Audience Award and the Best Documentary Feature Award by the Brazilian Cinema Academy in 2018. Carol also created and produced "The Sonia Silk Operation" (2013), a fiction feature trilogy awarded by the Hubert Bals Fund, which premiered at the Rotterdam IFF and many festivals abroad. As a creator, writer and producer, Carol is running a TV series for Globoplay, the biggest VOD platform in Brazil.
