John Zhao

John Zhao is a self-taught filmmaker. He was born in Shenyang, China to Korean diaspora and raised internationally in Germany and the United States. His early works include a loose trio of features entitled "The Nightschool Trilogy" which include Days Gone By (2011), Alexandria Leaving (2013) and Purple Jazz Nights (2018). He lives and works in New York City.
