Marcia entered the interior design industry by flipping her first home in 2007. From there she enrolled at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) for a degree in Interior Design. In the summer of 2010, Marcia was the stage producer for the West Coast's largest design event, Dwell on Design. After only a few quarters at FIDM, she was cast in HGTV's new docu-reality series, "Design School." Following the filming of her first design TV show, Marcia took a job as a contributor for Apartment Therapy curating inspirational designs, house tours, store profiles, and design events. Most recently, Marcia was the design assistant on HGTV's "Celebrity Holiday Homes." When Marcia is not blogging about her favorite designs, she can be found curating her favorite products at the Foundary.
If you were to sum up Marcia's design style in two words, it would be - Historical Modern. She often drives through the older neighborhoods of Los Angeles admiring the 1920's Spanish Colonial homes and other older architectural homes. Marcia is completely consumed with Los Angeles' culture and lifestyle. Her favorite hot spots are Runyun Canyon, Zuma Beach, and Whole Foods.
