Sofija Sztepanov is a Serbian-Hungarian writer-director for film. She grew up in Budapest where she became interested in acting at an early age. She spent her teenage years dubbing animated films, playing in theatre and small roles in film. At the age of eighteen she enrolled in Bocconi University in Milan, Italy to study Economics. It was only after she graduated and had an experience in investment banking in London that she decided to return to arts, but this time the focus was on cinema and on being behind the camera. She enrolled in a mentorship based Masters Program in Film at the Raindance Film Festival's Postgraduate Program. To this date she has written and directed four short films that have been shown at film festivals around the world and she is in preproduction of her next one.
