Biography

Rebecca was born the eldest of two daughters in San Jose, California. With her mother being an elementary school teacher who specialized in Children's Musical Theater and a father who was a Preacher's Kid raised with singing in the boy's choir, it was natural that Rebecca's interest in the Arts flourished. She started performing in a singing/dancing troupe at the tender age of 5 and soon found herself falling in love with all forms of performing including choir, musical theater and performance groups. Her mother and father started songwriting during the late 70's and Rebecca followed suite with writing poetry, songs and instrumentals as a teenager in High School. After becoming a wife and mother at age 22, she decided to put her interests in the Performing Arts aside in order to focus on being a mother and wife. All the while still using her passion as a form of expression, reflection and self-therapy during the tough times in her life. In the 2006, Rebecca moved from writing and started "video blogging" on YouTube to capture a major, life changing journey in her life. She also started her very first musical podcast called "Sunday Morning Meditations" (no longer available to the public) in order to express her love for beautiful music, positive thoughts, poetry and ancient religious writings. In November of 2008, as a result of keeping up with her writing, she self-published her first book of poetry "The Genesis Journey - A Creative Collection" (available at Amazon.com). In 2010, while working as a Job Coach for adults with Developmental Disabilities, Rebecca helped produced and cast two short films, "Are You My Girlfriend" and "Thugs Need Hugs". She was also Creative Director and Audio Production Teacher for their very first podcast: "The Voices of E+". Rebecca worked at Live Media Entertainment, a film production company in Northern California, From 11/10 to 11/11. While there she wore many hats in pre-production, casting, production, post-production, writing and social networking. With her recent connection to her passion for the arts, she enjoys administrating, connecting and guiding the dreams and visions that people have for their lives and the betterment of the community they are in.
