Federica Foglia

Federica Foglia was born and raised in Naples, she graduated from University of Naples L'Orientale in Multimedia Languages & Humanities Computing : Art Theater and Cinema with a minor in Foreign Languages (French and English). Here graduation work was centered around the eclectic body artist STELARC and all his performances and experimentations. Eager to find new ways of communication and new languages to put concepts into form, she started working in photography as alternative model and photographer, and as a video maker of short clips and video art. Editing her own work she developed a sensibility that led her to work as creative director and fashion photographer side by side with her sister (fashion designer in Rome) on several fashion editorials, some of which featured on Photo VOGUE italia. Her literary work (mainly poems) has been published by Giulio Perrone Editore, Roma. Film came upon her as a natural magnet searching for its other half, she started as a production assistant, costume designer assistant (having studied sawing techniques in her early adolescence), special effect makeup designer, production coordinator. Latest Job is as an Assistant to Deepa Mehta (on Beeba Boys). Other experiences include Fringe Festival - Theater in Naples, Toronto Film Festival FOHA, Toronto Mastercard Fashion Week, Executive Assistant @ Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.
