Biography

Television sitcom Head Writer for "The Extraterrestrial" (El Extraterrestre, 1980), produced and broadcast in Mexico by the Televisa Network and in the United States by the Univision Network. He studied under the tutelage of Lee Strasberg at Strasberg Theatre Institute, film at UCLA & LACC and has Bachelor and Master degrees from Pepperdine University. He completed post-graduate studies at Oxford University, University of Antwerp, UC-Berkeley and UNC's Center for Creative Leadership. He has also written theatrical plays, including "The Day You Love Me", "Executive Encounter", "The Debt", "Playmates", "Magical Transformation", and "Love in the Snow". He was also Entertainment Editor for Grafica Magazine, published by Orbe Publications. John is a writer member of The Dramatists Guild of America (DG), playwright & director member of the Playwrights/Directors Unit (P/DU) of The Actors Studio, director member of the Stage Directors & Choreographers Society (SDC), graduate of Directors Lab West at the Pasadena Playhouse (DLW) and independent producer and board member of the Theatrical Producers League of Los Angeles (TPLLA).
