David Peirce is a local up and coming Atlanta-based actor. He recently helped carry the short film, directed by Jeff Shipman and shot by Dan Almasy, "Always Remember the little Things" to win the "Grand Audience Choice Award" made for the 2010 Atlanta 48 Hour Film Project. David is very versatile and is also a member of the Local 479 I.A.T.S.E and works as a grip on local productions.
David got his start in 2008 in the industry by being an extra on "My Fake Fiance"; an ABC film made for TV staring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence. Coming in early and being easy to work with and having a great attitude, David was upgraded to being a stand-in on the show. The hard work paid off and David was able to work for the next two years as a working stand-in as his sole means of income. In these two years some of the projects he was a part of were: Lead Stand-in on "Ben 10: Alien Swarm", picked to play the gravedigger in the film "Get Low", Lead stand-in for the first entire season of "The Vampire Diaries" and 8 episodes of season 2. While working with Vampire Diaries' Directer of Photography Paul Sommers, each day was an amazing learning opportunity for David to hit his mark, find his light and be comfortable in front of the camera. And of course working each day with such a talented cast and crew was the ultimate learning experience. The Vampire Diaries was like going to film school for David.
Again through hard work on The Vampire Diaries, David was "rewarded" an opportunity and was a stunt double for Paul Wesley in episode 205 " Kill or be Killed". Feeling he had learnt all he could as a stand-in, David used his industry connections and joined the local I.A.T.S.E. and is now working as a grip on many local productions. Some of these productions include: X-Men : First Class, The Vampire Diaries, MTV's Teen Wolf, Footloose, and The Wettest County.
David has been able to envelope himself in the local Atlanta film community and continues working hard to learn every aspect of film and production in order to develop himself into a well-rounded, respected film contributor.
