Casey was raised in the city of Minneapolis. As a child he attended Annunciation Catholic Grade School. He was always in interested in art, but nothing much has survived since his childhood. This is due to the fact that little Casey was an insane perfectionist and would destroy most everything he had created, deeming it "not good enough." After grade school he attended the Academy of Holy Angels. He was enrolled in the theater school there. In his senior year he co-wrote and starred in his full length play, Prodigal. After high school he decided to leave the hockey crazed society he was raised in and move to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University. He graduated in May, 2010 with a degree in Film Production and a minor in philosophy. It was there he made his thesis film, The Good Things. He lives in Santa Monica.
