Biography

Baek Dong-Hoon studied visual communication design at the Korea's most respected art school, Hongik University, before earning his MFA in film from Columbia University's School of the Arts. He has directed several short films including "Commitment Phobia" (2000), which played at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival, the Memphis International Film Festival and the Hamptons Comedy Film Festival. In 2003, his short film "Romantic Love" played at numerous film festivals including the Pusan International Film Festival, the Asiana International Short Film Festival, the International Filmfestival Budapest, and the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. He wrote and directed the online dramatic film, "Boy Meets Girl" (aka. Kim, Sung-Jun meets Yi, Youjung) starring Gong Yoo ("Coffee Prince") and Sung Youri (The Rabit and The Lizard). He has also directed the music video debut for the singer Cho Kyu-chan. His debut feature "Le Grand Chef 2: Kimchi Battle" was released theatrically in 2010.
