Born in Montreal, Quebec, Victoria Zhu's first acting role was Joseph in a school pageant during grade 3. However, she focused on training in classical piano and fine arts, and was described as a rather introverted and shy child. In high school she auditioned for plays and musical theater productions but never got cast, later receiving the opportunity to be a pianist for 'The Fantasticks'. Victoria has participated in the 2005 Miss Canada Teen Global pageant and 2009 Miss Chinese Vancouver pageant, which inspired her to pursue further education at the University of British Columbia. She experienced her first acting class in college, where she fell in love with the art. Victoria then continued to take classes around Vancouver and worked on a few student and independent films before landing a lead role in the student film 'Loved', which won Best Student Film award at the Los Angeles Film and Script Festival that year. Upon auditing a Larry Moss workshop in early 2011, Victoria decided to put university on hold to pursue full-time training at Vancouver Acting School. In addition to acting, Victoria is passionate about competing in international style ballroom dancing.
