Parke Metzer

Parke Metzer was born and raised in the southern, central community of Edmond, Oklahoma. He procured a considerable interest in film and television in his early adolescent years, and became entranced by the intricacies of visual storytelling. An avid movie-watcher and self-proclaimed auteur throughout his upbringing, he began creating a variety of short projects, such as narrative films and music videos, which he showcased at independent film festivals, obtaining recognition with the numerous awards that his films won. For three years, he attended three summer-intensives the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute, where he pursued film directing and screen-writing. He studied at Edmond North High School. Subsequently, he received his college education at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, and worked as a freelance cinematographer and editor during this time. His projects ranged from local newscasts to nationwide concert tours.
