Biography

Blaine Dunkley is a freelance Cinematographer based in Brooklyn, New York. Having lived at the epicenter of independent film in Park City, UT during his High School years, Blaine fell in love with filmmaking. He is a graduate of The University of Montana in Missoula, where he studied Physics, Economics, and finally Media Arts - Digital Filmmaking while taking up the craft of photojournalism for local & regional papers. His Director of Photography credits now include over 20 narrative shorts, three features, and countless commercials, music videos, web series' and plugs. Blaine has lensed projects for many major companies including Enterprise, Atlantic Records (Verve), Fed-Ex, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Gibson Guitars, Natty Light, & Clean & Clear. Though his commercial client list grows every year, Blaine has kept up an earnest interest in narrative storytelling through his personal study of writing, editing, color, sound and music, working with actors, philosophy, law, history, mythology, social justice, comedy, relational & sexual politics -and most importantly for him- how to tell an efficient & playful visual story. His Cinematography was featured in Juicy Couture founders Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash Taylor's films "California Eccentrics" for their California fashion line Skaist-Taylor", also, "Romantic Encounters with Melinda Hill" a raucous internet TV comedy starring many of Hollywood's elite comedy acts.
