Ryan Stratton is a writer/director and composer for film, commercials, and other media.
A creative personality for as long as he can remember, Ryan fell in love with all aspects of storytelling and began writing music at a very early age. After graduating from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film & Media Arts, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film industry. He has written/directed three films and works regularly as a composer/music producer, having scored five feature films, over twenty-five short films, and a multitude of corporate and commercial projects for clients including Coca-Cola, Regal Theatres, United Airlines, and the National MS Society.
As a writer, Ryan is highly proficient in story structure and takes great care in crafting unique, compelling dialogue. As a director, he stresses technical proficiency and high level, original storytelling presented in a visually striking manner. As a composer, he considers himself a bit of a chameleon and is concerned primarily with ensuring that the viewer experience is felt as efficiently and succinctly as possible. Ryan's work on his own short film "Infinite" was nominated for Visionfest New York's Platinum Reel and Best Original Score awards, and his music for the short film "Icarus" was nominated for a College Television Award. Other notable credits include "Beyond The Edge", a character-driven science fiction film starring Casper Van Dien and Sean Maher, and "Faith, Hope & Love," an upcoming faith based romantic comedy starring Peta Murgatroyd and Robert Krantz.
Ryan also releases music as the industrial pop project KORVEN (music on Spotify, Apple Music, etc) and has worked with Paul Haslinger on multiple projects, including "Wisdom of the Crowd," "Ride," and "Fear the Walking Dead."
