Shepherd Ahlers is an independent motion picture producer, and founder of the production company, Metals. He has extensive experience in production management, and is a member of the Directors Guild of America. He produced the debut short film Two Dollar Bill (2016) with writer/director Hannah Marks which won "best overall short" at CineYouth Chicago in 2016. He has worked internationally as a documentary cinematographer, and got his start doing post production for films, television and commercial productions.. His work is grounded in a strong sense of story graft, and his Kentucky roots have given him a fierce work ethic. He lives in Louisville with his partner Arielle, and a very precocious dachshund named Pickle.
