Nathan Bragg

Biography

As the oldest child of seven, Nathan Bragg quickly discovered that entertainment was a powerful babysitting tool; under the harsh gaze of those tough early crowds, he developed his own brand of comedy which continues to inform his work today. His comedy developed further when he played George, a lovable curmudgeon and radio personality in Greensboro, North Carolina. Following that experience, he focused the next 14 years on more technical aspects of film and video making, relegating his acting to hobby projects or community theatre. Then, in 2007, his acting side re-emerged in a comic performance as a vampire in Interview with a Dawson City Vampire. He followed that with another role named George, the damaged villain in Stefan Popescu's Nude Study (2010). Mr. Popescu subsequently cast Nathan as the male lead (Hector) in the comic horror Velvet Vixen's Zombie Massacre (2015); in this outing Nathan played a porn director forced to battle a mutinous production staff while a town full of crazed zombies bears down on him. Nathan continues to act in feature and short film projects: Urban Tooth Decay (2015) and Snooze Tease (2015), to name a few. In addition, Nathan has written and directed a number of short films in a range of genres, including comedies: The Devil's Kitchen (2011) and an animation named Nut Sack (2011), which earned an award for excellence in scriptwriting, and an NFB documentary titled What It All Boils Down To (2013).
