Pierre Lapointe

I am primarily a writer who specializes in scripted dramas of various genres notably thriller, crime, action-adventure. Love to collaborate with actors, directors and of course, fellow writers and producers. Big believer in laying out story first in treatment form and/or breaking down season episodes. I excel at story structure and character development and have written for various "worlds"; from contemporary urban America ("The Business") to academia and Middle-Eastern ("The Phoenician Code"), to fantasy and science ("Playing God") and historical British/Central-Asian ("American King"). I have adapted novels, true stories as well as developed my own ideas or in collaboration with other writers and actors. I am prolific, deliver on-time with a fast turnaround while retaining the highest quality. I'm easy to work with, open to ideas and changes, but will also debate and challenge when appropriate, but never with any malice or in anger. I have significant experience in the development and production process/costs, business affairs/contracts. I created Northern Star Pictures to develop, produce and deliver marketable films and series to a global audience. We have a varied slate of projects in development with different genres but mostly targeting the 25-49 year old demographic.
