Kristi Barnett

Kristi is a dual NZ/British screenwriter and script consultant who has been professionally writing genre screenplays since 2009 and has completed four spec features: The award winning horror They Hide In The Dark; a comedy; I Hate People, a supernatural drama; The Psychic and the latest horror and festival finalist 39 Days. She was mentored by the prestigious Red Planet Prize with the gritty single drama, The Board. Her first production was the first movie rolled out over Twitter, a horror called Hurst (aka@KarenBarley). On the back of They Hide In The Dark, she was commissioned by Ascension Productions (UK) to rewrite the horror feature Son Of Man now in development. Her latest horror 39 Days has just been optioned by NZ production company Libertine Pictures (NZ) and is in active development with Neil Cross (Mama, Luther, Crossbones) as Creative Director. Her company is Mindspawn Media Limited - screenwriting and script consultant.
