Jason's adventurous spirit has taken him to some of the remotest locations left on earth. Working as a mineral prospector, and he has worked in Northern BC and the Northwest Territories, making his way above the Arctic Circle in 2006. These experiences infuse his writing with a sense of dynamic realism, and having stared down two juvenile Grizzly Bears from the barrel of a shotgun without incident in 2007, makes most writing deadlines seem rather pedestrian by comparison. He has been working as a writer full-time since 2008, He is happily married for four times the national average and counting, with two kids, a cat, and a cross-over vehicle which he quietly loathes. Taking his cue from lessons learned in kindergarten, he does not try and fix things that aren't broken and plays well with others.
