Robert Rodriguez

Born January 20th, 1972. Lower East Side. New York City, New York. Robert A Rodriguez grew up in Astoria, Queens.. Eventually making his way living in Manhattan on the Upper East Side. He found his calling in the Maritime field attending and graduating from Kingsborough College and a Commercial Deep Sea Diving Program on the eastern seaboard. He worked as a Diver Medic/ EMT and Ferry Captain for several years before attending the Police Academy in New York City, eventually becoming a member of their very respected and elite NYPD Scuba Team/ Air Sea Rescue Unit which in the present time he has achieved. Detective Rodriguez is a Scuba Diver for the NYPD for 11 years now, and has been a Police Officer/ Detective for 15 years. He teaches scuba diving and holds an instructor level in PADI. On January 15th, 2009, he was called to duty for a commercial airliner down in the Hudson River and contributed to the rescues that day for the "Miracle on the Hudson" Det. Rodriguez and his partner responded by helicopter and jumped into the Hudson River to rescue a woman.
