Born at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas, Sheril grew up in a large Hispanic family offering various "characters" with which to draw from in Sheril's work in films, on stage and as a songwriter. During college, Sheril's comedic timing and improve skills were honed in musical theater. Often cast in roles portraying strong women, Sheril brings a level of energy to both dramatic and comedic projects.
As a singer/songwriter, the highlight of Sheril's musical career was touring and singing back up for legendary Country music artist, Merle Haggard where she co-wrote one of his biggest hits "Let's Chase Each Other Around the Room Tonight"; earning her a BMI Millionaire award. During the course of her musical career, she has performed almost every genre of music and continues to write and produce a wide array musical pieces.
In 1984, to assist in publishing her own material, Sheril created COWTOWN SOUND PUBLISHING and then in 2009, she created COWTOWN SOUND PRODUCTIONS, a collaboration of extremely talented film makers dedicated to creating content for television and film.
Her commitment to the entertainment industry as a mentor and motivator set her apart from most actors and producers. Although her home base is in Texas, she splits her time between Atlanta and New York.
